Lifting Up the Community with Stoney Creek Furniture Promotion
In a heartwarming display of community collaboration, Stoney Creek Furniture has announced the launch of its latest initiative aimed at supporting older adults. Inspired by an interaction between Volunteer Catherine Corey and her Friendly Visiting match from Happy in my Home, Community Support Services of Niagara, the initiative seeks to minimize economic challenges for older adults requiring recliner chairs.
Catherine Corey, who has been volunteering with the Friendly Visiting program since 2021, recently discovered her match’s need for a new recliner chair. Recognizing the importance of addressing her match’s mobility concerns, Catherine, also a decorator at Stoney Creek Furniture, suggested a lift chair as a solution.
Inspired by her match’s need and recognizing a broader issue within the community, Catherine approached the team at Stoney Creek Furniture with a proposal. She emphasized the need for recliner chairs for older adults at a reduced cost, highlighting the benefits of prolonged independence, added comfort, and increased safety.
Responding quickly to Catherine’s idea, the team at Stoney Creek Furniture devised the “Lifting up the Community” initiative. This will offer older adults specially discounted lift chairs with no tax and free delivery.
