Friendly Visiting
Our Friendly Visiting programs is a volunteer-based program where a volunteer is matched with an older adult (65+) to provide either in-person visits and/or phone chats. Social isolation and loneliness increase the risk for a variety of physical and mental conditions which inevitably leads to unnecessary hospitalizations or pre-mature admission into long-term care. With our friendly visiting program, we carefully match our clients to a volunteer that share similar interests. Our volunteers are kind, caring and compassionate individuals that understand the benefits of human connection and keeping our clients happy in their home.

- Visits may include going for a walk, chatting, coffee, games, etc
- Promotes socialization and the creation of new friendships
- Helps alleviate loneliness and reduce depression
