“Unfortunately, due to the volunteer shortage resulting from the pandemic, we are unable to match you with a volunteer at this time. We would like to encourage you to put your name on a waitlist; however, you need to be aware that there is no movement on our waitlist and it is unlikely to result in services this season. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please know that we are working diligently to recruit volunteers and address the waitlist.”
The Leaf and Snow Buddies program actively recruits volunteers every season, however, each year there is a waitlist of people who are needing help. If you know of anyone that would like to volunteer please contact us. This is an excellent opportunity for student volunteers to earn community service hours. Volunteers and registered seniors are matched according to geographical location. Students can only provide snow removal around school hours. Winter will soon be upon us and planning ahead is smart! Talk to your neighbours about helping, or arrange with a paid snow removal service. We all want peace of mind for winter safety. CSSN has a variety of services to help keep you living independently at home.
